1. Where is the event venue?

Around 12 Kms from M.G.Road.

2. What are the race distances and timing?

Start Time: (subject to change)

3. Can I run for a cause?

Runners are encouraged to run for their cause and contribute funds.

4. Can we register as a group?

Yes. Group registrations are possible. You can write to contact@lifeiscalling-sports.com and we will co-ordinate to get your details and confirm your registrations.

5. Where do I get my Race Packet?
The Details of Racer Kit distribution:
  1. Date:
    • Friday, 14th December, 2018: 1.00 pm – 8.00 pm
    • Saturday, 15th December, 2018:11.00 am – 8.00 pm
  2. Venue: Kotak Mahindra Bank, Next to Trinity Metro Station, M.G.Road, Bengaluru.

Please do not forget to pick up your racer kit on 14th or 15th December, 2018.
Racer Kit will not be distributed at the event venue on 16th December, 2018.

Contents in the Racer-Kit:

  1. Participant Information Document along with the route map.
  2. BIB with Chip
  3. Pins for the BIB
  4. Event T-Shirt

If you are unable to collect the racer kit personally, your nominated representative can collect it on your behalf, please send an authorization letter with him/her along with a Photo ID Proof.

What you need to get to collect your Racer Kit:

  1. Your registration confirmation mail / Receipt Copy if registered Offline
  2. Photo-ID proof.
  3. Authorization letter if you are collecting on someone’s behalf.
  4. The Full Marathon, 30K, Half Marathon & 10K Run participants can show the Bib No received as SMS in their Hand Phone.

We will accept email proofs on your phone / devices to avoid printouts and wastage of resources. Avoid copies of the ID proofs by producing the original.

Kindly Note: As Kotak Mahindra Bank is situated besides the Trinity Metro Station on MG Road, we request participants to use the Metro service to reach the venue.

6. Can I have a friend pick up my race packet for me?
  • Yes, you can have a friend pick up the race packet for you.
  • The person picking up the race packet for you must bring your registration confirmation email or payment receipt, a copy of your valid Photo ID and a note authorising that person to pick up the race packet on your behalf.

7. Is there age limit for running in the Celebration Half Marathon & 10K?

16 yrs and above can register to participate in the run.

9. Can I transfer my registration in favour of other person?

Registrations are NOT TRANSFERABLE

10. Does the Thump! Celebration Bangalore event get participants from other states?

Yes, the event does get participants from all over India. We do expect some international participants to join us as well. We look forward to our running friends from other states coming to enjoy our event.

11. What can I expect for temperatures?

Normally during this time of the year the temperatures are in 22 – 32 degree Centigrade.

12. Where can I store my bags at the start of the race?

There shall be baggage counter open to store some of your items. Please do not leave behind valuable in the stored bag. Organizer of the race are not responsible for the loss of any items.

13. Is there parking at the starting area?

Vehicle parking will be available close the NICE toll plaza, adjacent to PES IT College near Nayandahalli junction on Mysore Road. Cars and Two Wheelers should drive into the toll plaza junction to access the parking bays.

14. Are there toilets along the course?

No, portable toilets will be available at the start/finish area only.

15. What are the Aid Stations serving?

Aid station shall be serving water at all station. Some selected station along the route will be serving electrolytes, fruits, biscuits and other items.

16. How is the timing recorded?

RFID timing technology is being used to record time. Timing chips shall be provided to Half Marathon and 10K participants to monitor their time.

17. Is the course closed to traffic?

Yes, course will be closed for traffic for the race duration.

18. Will there be Medical Assistance?

Yes, there will be Medical assistance provided along the route of the race and at the finish area.

19. What if it takes me longer than 4 hours to finish?

There will be no official time recorded after 4 hours from the start of the race. That is, the timing collection cut-off is at 10.00 AM. Runners/walkers will be notified at approximately an hour before at 9.00 AM if they are not on track to meet the requirement. At that point, the runner can either choose to utilise their own transport back to the finish area, or may continue as a pedestrian without assistance. Aid stations, traffic control, volunteers, etc. will relinquish their posts based upon the 4 hour completion time.

20. Is there a sweep?

Yes, there will be a sweep of the last runner/walker until he/she cross the finish line. Runner/walker will be notified of the 4hour cut off time at 9.00AM if they are on track to complete the race within 10.00 hours.

21. What is available at the Finish?

Besides the medal distribution for Half Marathon and 10K runners/walkers, there will be aid station serving water and light refreshments for all runners/walkers. The participants can take advantage of the medical tent at the finish area.
